'Clone Wars' series to debut next month

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" premieres in Tokyo

ATLANTA, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- The new animated U.S. television series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" is to debut next month, Cartoon Network announced Tuesday.

Episodes are to premiere Friday nights, starting Oct. 3, on Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network HD.

The show, which "chronicles the adventures of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano and other favorite "Star Wars" characters as they struggle against the dark side, is the first weekly television series from Lucasfilm Animation, the network said.
