CHICAGO, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Fans said they didn't mind waiting hours in line for a chance to attend Chicago's "The Oprah Winfrey Show" featuring U.S. Olympic athletes.

Olympic fan Deborah Theobold told the Chicago Tribune, "This is the biggest thing ever."

She was among the scores of people waiting for wristbands Saturday at Chicago's Millennium Park to attend Winfrey's Wednesday TV show dedicated to the nearly 150 U.S. Olympic athletes, the Tribune said.

Doug Collins, 37, said he was waiting because, "I love Oprah."

Cecilie Sugden and her 12-year-old son, Rohan, had different reasons for standing in line.

"I'm here for Oprah. He's here for Michael Phelps," Collins told the Tribune, referring to the highly-successful U.S. Olympic swimmer.
