NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- A federal judge has rejected a lawsuit filed by a New York strip club trying to prevent being stripped of its liquor license.
Judge Richard Sullivan ruled Friday that the lawsuit filed by Scores East against the State Liquor Authority did not offer enough proof to warrant a full trial, the New York Daily News reported.
"The court finds that (Scores) has failed to articulate facts in the complaint sufficient to show that any of the defendants acted in bad faith or with the intent to harm," Sullivan wrote in his ruling.
The lawsuit, which was filed in May, alleged that SLA officials revoked the club's liquor license in response to illegal actions that allegedly took place at the site's sister club, Scores West.
Scores West dancers were allegedly caught offering customers enhanced services beyond mere lap dances, the Daily News said.
