LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Michelle Rodriguez, whose character was previously killed off of "Lost," reportedly is to make an appearance on the new season of the hit show.
Rodriguez played plane-crash survivor and former Los Angeles police officer Ana Lucia. Her character was killed by a duplicitous character in Season 2 of the series about people stranded on a mysterious island.
However, EW.com cited multiple sources as saying Rodriguez will be back briefly in the show's upcoming fifth season.
Although details about her return are closely guarded, EW.com said the actress is scheduled to appear in one episode, probably the season's second installment.
Given the nature and story-telling techniques of the show, the entertainment news Web site also speculated that it is likely Rodriguez's guest appearance will come in the form of another island-dweller's flashback or hallucination.
Season 5 of "Lost" reportedly is to begin airing in January.
