VENICE, Italy, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Brad Pitt hinted to reporters at the Venice Film Festival that he and his girlfriend Angelina Jolie are planning to expand their family.

Jolie and Pitt were already the parents of four children ages 6 and younger when Jolie gave birth to twins this summer.

While promoting his new black comedy "Burn After Reading" at the film festival this week, Pitt was asked by journalists if he and Jolie planned to limit the number of children they have to six, The Daily Telegraph reported.

"I'll have two more by next year," Pitt reportedly said. However, The Telegraph said it was unclear whether he was joking.

Pitt's single, childless co-star, George Clooney, was also asked if spending time with Pitt's family made him think about starting one of his own.

The Telegraph said Clooney quipped that the question came at a good time, since he would be "getting married and having children today."

Pitt added, "Until then, I will be sharing mine with him."

In addition to "Burn After Reading," Pitt and Clooney have also co-starred in "Ocean's Eleven" and its two sequels.
