BEL AIR, Calif., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Donald Trump says his luxury hotel project in Dubai has the endorsement of a bevy of A-list Hollywood stars, who attended a gala launch party in Bel Air, Calif.

Among those making the rounds at a plush private estate off Los Angeles' Sunset Strip Saturday were Hilary Swank, Ali Larter, Kate Walsh, Pete Wentz, Aaron Eckhart, Orlando Bloom and Hayden Panettiere, the Los Angeles Times reported. It said the stars talked up the Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai project and the evening featured a performance from pop star Christine Aguilera.

U.S. developer and television star Trump has partnered with Dubai development company Nakheel Properties and its chairman, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, on the project. Nakheel is building three man-made islands along the Dubai coast.

Trump first unveiled the 63-story project last month in New York. At Saturday's party, large tented domes contained intricate models of the project, and videos of the hotel were shown on a video screen near the stage set up on the property's tennis court, the newspaper said.
