NEW YORK, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Jason Biggs, best known for his "American Pie" movie roles, has been cast in the off-Broadway stage comedy "Boy's Life," Variety reported Monday.

Biggs will star in the 20th anniversary production of Howard Korder's play, in which he, Rhys Coiro and Peter Scanavino will play perpetually adolescent college buddies, the show business trade journal reported. Previews are to begin Oct. 2, with an Oct. 20 opening planned at Second Stage Theater in New York.

Michael Greif reportedly is lined up to direct the play.

Variety said Biggs last appeared off Broadway in "Modern Orthodox" and starred opposite Kathleen Turner in "The Graduate."

Coiro, meanwhile, is best known for his Billy Walsh character on HBO's "Entourage" and Scanavino has previously starred in Second Stage's "subUrbia" revival.
