LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Comedian Chris Kattan, known best for his work on "Saturday Night Live," has filed for legal separation from his wife in Los Angeles, records show.
Los Angeles Superior Court papers reveal the 37-year-old comedian, whose "SNL" characters included Mr. Peepers and Mango, is separating from model Sunshine Tutt because of "irreconcilable differences," People magazine reported Friday.
The couple have been married for nearly two months after dating since they first met at a 2005 birthday party, People said.
People said three days before Kattan filed the separation papers Thursday, a representative for the actor confirmed the couple were splitting up but had no plans to divorce.
The legal papers also noted the couple have a prenuptial agreement.
