STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- A Swedish oversight group says it has received complaints that TV host Rickard Olsson invoked the Nazi party while discussing German Olympians on live TV.

Olsson reportedly referenced Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party while discussing Germany's women's soccer team on his live TV series, "Olssons Studio," Tuesday, The Local reported.

"There is something about Hitler and Germany that somehow makes it difficult to feel sorry for them when they get slaughtered at football," he said. "You just think, Hitler, Hitler, Hitler, Hitler, Hitler."

Since its airing, the Swedish Broadcasting Commission has received eight complaints, an unidentified SBC official said.

The Local said SBC officials will determine if Olsson's actions violated regulations and may ask the Swedish public broadcasting company SVT to offer an explanation regarding the episode.
