ATLANTA, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- An Atlanta hip-hop artist who says Shaquille O'Neal is stalking her has been granted a restraining order against the 7-foot-1 NBA star.

Alexis Miller, 23, who performs as Maryjane, reportedly complained to police that O'Neal has threatened her with bodily harm and has made harassing phone calls. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Richard Hicks Thursday granted her request to order O'Neal to stay away from her, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Miller alleges she broke off an intimate relationship with O'Neal last month and the 16-year NBA veteran responded by threatening to pay hip-hop performers $50,000 each not to work with her.

"It's been very difficult for her," L. David Wolfe, Miller's attorney, told the newspaper. "Her fears are not only for herself but also the people around her."

He said Miller, who has a young son, is "pretty traumatized." He also said O'Neal had not yet been served with the paperwork.

The newspaper said Perry Rogers, O'Neal's agent, did not return phone messages and officials with his NBA team, the Phoenix Suns, couldn't be reached for comment.

O'Neal filed for divorce from his wife Shaunie in 2007, after less than five years of marriage. The couple have indicated they want to reconcile.
