LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Ben Affleck is in negotiations to co-star in a new comedy from "King of the Hill" creator Mike Judge, sources say.

The show business newspaper Variety, citing unnamed sources, reported Thursday that Affleck would team with Jason Bateman in "Extract," a workplace comedy about trials and tribulations at a flower extract factory owned by Bateman's character. The film is being produced by Miramax.

Clifton Collins Jr. has reportedly joined "Extract's" cast as a factory worker who has lost a body part in a freak accident and is due a cash award. Comedians Mila Kunis and Kristen Wiig are also on board with the project, which is to begin filming Monday in Los Angeles.

Variety says Judge, who also created "Beavis and Butthead" for MTV, wrote the screenplay and is producing the movie along with John Altschuler and Mike Rotenberg under their Ternion Productions banner.

The newspaper said Affleck's last big movie role was in 2006's "Hollywoodland," and he has two films in the can -- Universal's "State of Play" and Warner Bros.' "He's Just Not That Into You."
