ROSEANNE BARR PERFORMS AT RED ROBINSON SHOW THEATER NEAR VANCOUVER

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Roseanne Barr says actor Jon Voight is a "frightened little girl" because of his opposition to likely Democratic U.S. presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Writing in her personal blog, actress Barr took aim at Voight, apparently in reaction to an anti-Obama opinion piece he wrote and published last month in The Washington Times, and also criticized his daughter, actress Angelina Jolie, for claiming to be undecided in the presidential election, Access Hollywood reported Monday.

In the Times piece, Voight wrote, "God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way."

Barr reportedly responded in her Web post by calling Voight a "frightened little girl in a pink ballet tutu, who acts like Obama just wandered in from the rain forest with a bone thru his nose and a communist pamphlet in his loincloth."

Access Hollywood also said she wrote it is hypocritical of Jolie to not support Obama in light of her adoption of an Ethiopian child, saying African children suffered under the policies of Republican U.S. administrations.
