ROSEVILLE, Minn., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Participants of the reality TV series "Dancing with the Stars" allege thieves stole property from their van while they were in Roseville, Minn.

"Stars" contestant Kristi Yamaguchi alleged tens of thousands of dollars worth of electronics went missing from the van after the unidentified thieves broke into it Saturday night, KSTP-TV of Minneapolis/St. Paul reported.

Yamaguchi said the TV celebrity group, which also included "Stars" performers Mark Ballas and Derek Hough, were in the St. Paul suburb to participate in a cancer benefit.

"I feel so bad," the former U.S. figure skater said. "These guys came in for a good cause to help out and it's not starting out so good."

Yamaguchi told KSTP-TV that in addition to a number of missing passports, the thieves also stole diaries and photographs belonging to series' members.

"It's more emotional because there are so many memories," she told the TV station.
