OXFORD, England, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Life imitated art as Emma Watson, the English actress who plays Hermione in the "Harry Potter" movies, got top marks on her A levels.
In the books and movies, Hermione Granger managed to be a top student while helping Harry and Ron save the wizarding world. Watson, 18, juggled the movies with her studies at Headington School, where she also played field hockey and engaged in competitive dancing, The Telegraph reported.
She also has a fortune estimated at 10 million pounds ($20 million) from her Potter earnings.
A message was posted on her Web site:
"We are absolutely delighted to let you all know that Emma received straight As in her three chosen subjects namely English literature, geography and Art!! As you can imagine Emma is absolutely thrilled and we are all very proud of her."
The A levels are the last exams British students take in secondary school, and three passing grades are required for university entrance. Watson plans to take a gap year and then begin university in 2009.
