LONDON, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A Hasbro spokesman has confirmed an updated version of the British whodunnit board game "Cluedo" will be available in stores by Christmas.
The Sun newspaper said the 62-year-old game, which challenges players to figure who committed a murder in what room and with what weapon, will no longer feature characters with names like Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum and the Reverend Green.
In their places will be more contemporary suspects like movie star Kasandra Scarlet, sports commentator Jack Mustard and video-game mogul Victor Plum, the newspaper said.
The action also will be set in a mansion with a boardroom and a spa rather than in a stately home with a library and ballroom, The Sun noted.
A Hasbro spokesman told the newspaper, "It's bang up to date." The game is known as "Clue" in North America.
