Philbin to guest star on sit-com 'Mother'

NEW YORK, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- U.S. television personality Regis Philbin is set to guest star on the sit-com "How I Met Your Mother," CBS said Wednesday.

Philbin is the co-host of the daily morning chat show "Live with Regis and Kelly."

CBS said he will play himself in an episode of "HIMYM" to air Sept. 29.

Marshall, played by Jason Segel, runs into Philbin while on a "quest to find the restaurant where he had his very first New York burger," CBS said.

Production on the episode is to begin Monday.
