UPPSALA, Sweden, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Police in the Swedish city of Uppsala say several musicians involved in this year's Uppsala Reggae Festival have been arrested in a drug bust.

Police spokesperson Christer Nordstrom said several of the festival artists were involved when police obtained blood samples from nearly 50 individuals suspected of drug offenses this week, The Local said Saturday.

"Among the suspects are a number of artists and musicians taking part in the festival. I can not specify which ones," Nordstrom said of Friday's testing.

Nordstrom said the arrests also came after police allegedly found small amounts of illegal drugs at the festival's backstage area, the newspaper reported.
