The New York Daily News said Friday that, according to "The High Road" singer, she was asked to star in the highly popular Disney Channel series before Cyrus was tabbed for the role.
While Cyrus has since earned fortune and fame playing Miley Stewart on the series, Levesque says she does not regret her decision.
"No regrets. No regrets at all," the 17-year-old says. "Yeah, they offered me the role...(But) it's not really what I see for myself."
The Daily News said Levesque's self-titled 2004 album has since gone platinum and the teenage singer has ventured into acting with a role in the Lifetime series "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet."
