LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Teenage celebrities Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas may have shared an intimate kiss, based on separate accounts they gave to two U.S. publications.

People magazine said Saturday that Jonas, 15, described a past first-date kiss in a magazine interview in a very similar way to how Gomez, 16, detailed a kiss she recently shared with an unidentified individual.

"While we were slow dancing, my crush and I had our first kiss," Gomez, known for her role on the Disney Channel TV series "The Wizards of Waverly Place," told a teen magazine. "I said, 'I don't kiss on the first date.' Then he said, 'Well, I never really play by the rules.'"

"On one date, the girl said to me, 'I don't kiss on the first date.' So I said, 'I don't follow the rules.' Ooooh! It was so good!" Jonas, who has earned fame with his music group the Jonas Brothers, told a similar teen-based magazine.

People magazine said while the similar stories allude to a shared moment between the teen stars, neither has acknowledged a romantic relationship with the other.
