Robbie Coltrane on N.Z. wanted poster

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- New Zealand police have issued a wanted poster featuring a picture of Robbie Coltrane due to the suspect's alleged resemblance to the Scottish actor.

The poster, which seeks a suspect in a serial burglary case, reads, "Robbie Coltrane is not the burglar, but imagine him aged 16 with lank, greasy hair and you have the picture," The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

Officers said they used Coltrane's picture on the poster because New Zealand law forbids police from publishing pictures of juvenile suspects.

The poster says the burglar uses a bicycle to travel to and from the scenes of his crimes.

"He will break windows to gain entry and ransack property, targeting electronic items, cash and jewelry," it reads.

Police Sgt. Phil Dean said police came up with the plan to use Coltrane's picture after the suspect's alleged resemblance to the actor was discovered.

"It's a provocative thing to get people to read our crime prevention information," Dean said. "Our interest is in shutting (the suspect) down, preventing him from committing any further crime."

Coltrane is best known for his portrayal of Hagrid in the "Harry Potter" movies. He has also starred in the British television series "Cracker."

Ailing Mr. Blackwell regains consciousness

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Mr. Blackwell's representative said the famous Hollywood fashion critic, who was hospitalized this week, has regained consciousness.

Blackwell, whose real name is Richard Sylvan Seltzer, is best known for his annual best and worst-dressed lists but he also worked as an actor, Hollywood agent and costume designer.

His longtime companion and business partner, Robert Spencer, told The Star-Ledger newspaper of Newark, N.J., Thursday that the fashion maven was hospitalized and had been unconscious since Tuesday.

But a representative for Blackwell, 86, later told "Entertainment Tonight" that Blackwell's condition appears to be improving.

"He appears to be cognizant of his surroundings and although groggy, he did acknowledge Spencer's presence. Tomorrow the doctor will decide whether or not they can take Mr. B. off assisted breathing," the publicist told "ET."

The entertainment news program said Blackwell is believed to be suffering from septic shock, which doctors are treating with antibiotics.

The newspaper said Allen, who has been dancing since he was a child, auditioned for the Fox dance competition series in Dallas.

Jewel marries longtime beau Ty Murray

NASHVILLE, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Jewel's publicist says the U.S. singer-songwriter has married rodeo star Ty Murray.

Jewel and Murray, who never formally announced their engagement, eloped to the Bahamas and wed in a private ceremony Thursday night, her representative told People magazine exclusively.

"She wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat," the publicist said. "The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon."

People said the newlyweds have been together for a decade and share a 2,200-acre ranch in Texas.

Murray was the host of "Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull-Riding Challenge" on CMT last year, while Jewel was recently a celebrity judge on NBC's "Nashville Star." Jewel has also acted in the 1999 film "Ride with the Devil."
