LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- A comedic video starring U.S. actress and heiress Paris Hilton has been viewed 6.2 million times in two days on Funnyordie.com, the Web site said.

The video features Hilton in a mock political campaign ad.

"We are excited that this piece has become a hot topic for both the media and the public and we find it insane that Paris has the country discussing energy policy," Adam McKay, co-founder of Funny or Die and creator of the Hilton spoof, said in a statement Thursday.

McKay is the director of the current Will Ferrell-John C. Reilly box-office comedy hit "Step Brothers" and two other Ferrell comedies, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."
