Leonardo DiCaprio's grandmother dead at 93

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio's maternal grandmother reportedly has died.

Usmagazine.com quoted a German newspaper as saying Helene Indenbirken died in a hospital in her native North Rhine-Westphalia. She was 93.

The cause of her death has not yet been reported.

DiCaprio, who referred to Indenbirken as "Oma," would see his grandmother whenever he was in Europe, Usmagazine.com said.

DiCaprio's films include "William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet," "Titanic," "Gangs of New York," "The Aviator" and "The Departed."


Roth may appear in Tarantino's 'Basterds'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Quentin Tarantino wants his fellow U.S. filmmaker Eli Roth to play a part in his new World War II picture, "Inglourious Basterds."

Variety.com said Roth, the director of "Hostel," is in talks to play Sgt. Donnie Donowitz, "a baseball bat-swinging Nazi hunter," in Tarantino's latest flick.

Roth previously had a small part in "Grindhouse," the double feature Tarantino made with Robert Rodriguez.

Roth also helmed one of the over-the-top movie trailers that played during the "Grindhouse" gorefest, while Tarantino was an executive producer on "Hostel," Variety.com said.

Brad Pitt also is in talks for a role in "Bastards," which Tarantino is expected to begin shooting this fall in Europe, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Tarantino's other film credits include "Reservoir Dogs," "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill."


Rep: Aniston, Mayer not set to wed

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Jennifer Aniston's publicist is denying media reports claiming the U.S. actress is planning to marry singer John Mayer and is eager to have his baby.

OK! magazine reported Aniston is planning to marry Mayer this fall. The publication also offers details about what kind of dress the actress will wear and what her guests will eat and drink.

Meanwhile, Star magazine claimed Aniston, who was previously married to actor Brad Pitt, wants to have Mayer's baby as "Brad and Angie's twins wow the world."

Pitt's current partner, actress Angelina Jolie, gave birth to their fifth and sixth children last month.

"Both headlines are complete fabrications," Aniston's representative told Usmagazine.com. "She is not getting married."

Aniston is best known for her work on the TV sit-com "Friends." She has also starred in the films "Object of My Affection," "Picture Perfect," "The Good Girl," "Derailed" and "Rumor Has It."


'Love' is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Sugarland's "Love on the Inside" is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 is Miley Cyrus' "Breakout," followed by the soundtrack to the movie musical "Mamma Mia!" at No. 3, Kid Rock's "Rock N Roll Jesus" at No. 4 and Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Third Day's "Revelation" at No. 6, Coldplay's "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" at No. 7, the compilation CD "Kidz Bop 14" at No. 8, the soundtrack to the Disney TV movie "Camp Rock" at No. 9 and Nas's untitled CD at No. 10.
