NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Production on the U.S. version of the British drama series, "Life on Mars," has begun in New York, ABC announced Tuesday.

Starring Jason O'Mara, Harvey Keitel, Michael Imperioli, Lisa Bonet and Gretchen Mol, the new show is to debut Oct. 9, the network said.
