"Swing Vote" premieres in Los Angeles

NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Kelsey Grammer's publicist says the actor has been released from a New York area hospital after he felt faint last week.

Grammer, a 53-year-old actor best known for playing erudite psychiatrist Frasier Crane on the classic TV sit-coms "Cheers" and "Frasier," can be seen in the current big-screen release, "Swing Vote."

"Kelsey Grammer is out of the hospital, feeling great and about to resume normal activities at home," Grammer's representative told "Access Hollywood" Tuesday. "(Kelsey) and his wife Camille want to thank everyone who expressed concern. They appreciated the kind words."

Grammer, who had suffered a heart attack in late May while paddle-boarding in Hawaii with his wife, was admitted to Southampton Hospital last week after feeling faint.
