Regis and Kelly to guest star on 'Betty'

NEW YORK, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- U.S. TV talk-show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa are to guest star on an upcoming episode of the comedy series, "Ugly Betty," ABC announced Monday.

The network said the TV personalities are to play themselves in the show's season three premiere, airing Sept. 25.

In the episode, magazine editors Wilhelmina Slater (played by Vanessa Williams) and Alexis Meade (played by Rebecca Romijn) appear on "Live with Regis and Kelly" to promote the new issue of Mode magazine, ABC said.
