ATLANTA, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Rapper Young Jeezy is giving back to Atlanta Sunday with a youth-oriented Back 2 School giveback and bowling event, Allhiphop.com says.

The entertainment Web site said the Atlanta-born rapper, known for songs like "I Luv It" and "Bury Me a G," will host the event with the Boys and Girls Club, Corporate Thugz Entertainment and disc jockey Greg Street of Atlanta's WVEE radio station.

Kids in need will receive free school supplies, including new shoes and backpacks, at the Metro Lanes & Games event. The product giveaway was made possible through donations from 8732 clothing, Brand Jordan, Nike, Akademiks and Pastry.

Sunday's event marks the most recent attempt by Young Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, to give back to his home town.

Allhiphop.com said in 2007, Jenkins and CTE officials organized a charity event series and toy drive called Toyz n da Hood.
