Longoria eager to have children

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Actress Eva Longoria of the U.S. TV series "Desperate Housewives" says she "can't wait" to have children.

The 33-year-old actress, known for the sexy allure she brings to the popular ABC drama, said she has always wanted to be "married with kids," the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

"I'd love to have a family," Longoria said. "I've always wanted to be married with kids. I almost had a checklist in my head: Career? Check. Marriage? Check. Kids? Check. I can't wait!"

Longoria, who has gained some weight recently, refused, however, to confirm rumors she was already pregnant.

The British newspaper said Longoria credits the weight gain to her increased appetite and cooking endeavors.

"I've been cooking and eating, cooking and eating," said Longoria, who married NBA star Tony Parker in 2007. "I've eaten pretty much everything in sight."
