LONDON, July 26 (UPI) -- British rocker Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones reached his 65th birthday Saturday.
Jagger was staying at home with close friends and family, The Daily Telegraph reported.
The Times of London said while Jagger and his fellow Rolling Stones rockers continue to tour, the lead singer shows no signs of slowing down as he hits pension age.
Jagger's birthday also comes on the heels of the band's recent record-setting "A Bigger Bang" tour, which became the highest-grossing tour in the history of rock 'n' roll.
The Times said in addition to earning great success in the global music industry, Jagger has survived the trappings of fame such as corrupt managers and drug addiction.
The Telegraph said Jagger's successes come as some of his bandmates have struggled. Among those troubled rockers was Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, who entered rehabilitation this month after an infidelity scandal.
