NEW YORK, July 26 (UPI) -- Pop singer Jennifer Lopez got her wish for a "quiet" celebration in New York for her 39th birthday, her husband Marc Anthony says.
The salsa singer said Friday that his wife, who gave birth to twins five months ago, was happy to enjoy a Broadway show Thursday as part of a laid-back birthday celebration, People magazine reported.
"It's almost like every day is her birthday," Anthony said, "so last night we just wanted it to be quiet and, you know, have a nice, quiet evening together."
Anthony also said taking his new children, Max and Emme, on tour has been "fulfilling" since he and Lopez have such a solid marriage, People reported.
"When your foundation is stable and you're good, it doesn't really affect anything," Anthony said. "It just amplifies what the experience feels like. It's that much more fulfilling, and you look forward to coming home. It's a great time."
