Smith tops Forbes' best-paid actors list

NEW YORK, July 23 (UPI) -- Film star Will Smith, who earned $80 million last year, is No. 1 on Forbes magazine's list of Hollywood's top male earners.

Smith was most recently seen in the hit summer action flick "Hancock." His other films include "Independence Day, "Men in Black," "Men in Black II," "Hitch," "Ali," "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "I Am Legend."

The New York Daily News said Johnny Depp came in at No. 2 on the Forbes best-paid actor list because he made $72 million last year.

Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers tied at No. 3 with $55 million each, while their "Shrek" co-star Cameron Diaz ranked No. 1 on the best-paid actress list with $50 million.

Keira Knightley came in at No. 2 with $32 million, followed by Jennifer Aniston at No. 3 with $27 million on the best-paid actress list.

British "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe and U.S. teen pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus, who earned $25 million apiece, shared the No. 1 spot in the ranking for young stars, the Daily News said.
