Friend: Silverman doing great after split

LOS ANGELES, July 22 (UPI) -- U.S. television actor Jon Hamm says his comedienne friend Sarah Silverman is coping well after breaking up with her longtime beau Jimmy Kimmel.

Hamm, who is best known for his work on the AMC series "Mad Men," has made guest appearances on Silverman's Comedy Central show "The Sarah Silverman Program."

"She's doing great," Hamm said of Silverman to People magazine. "It's a tough time for everybody ... you know that's never easy when something like that happens. ... They're two adults, and they're living their life. And they will find happiness down the road."

Silverman and Kimmel announced earlier this month they had called it quits after dating for five years.
