LOS ANGELES, July 21 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Patrick Swayze says he continues to do well in his battle against pancreatic cancer.

The star of "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" announced in March that he was undergoing treatment for the disease.

People.com said he looked "healthy, happy and hot" when he told photographers and fans at Los Angeles International Airport Sunday: "I'm a miracle dude ... I don't know why."

The 55-year-old actor also said he was flying to Chicago to work on his new A&E series, "The Beast," People.com said.

Swayze and his wife, Lisa, issued a statement in April saying they were "thrilled" with the actor's response to the treatment.
