GLASGOW, Scotland, July 21 (UPI) -- Ticketmaster wants people who bought tickets to Coldplay's upcoming concerts in Glasgow, Scotland, to return them because they were printed on the wrong paper.
The BBC said all customers affected by the snafu have been sent postage-paid envelopes so they can return their tickets to the Dec. 5 and Dec. 6 concerts scheduled at the SECC in Glasgow. The British broadcaster did not explain why what paper the tickets were printed on is important.
Ticketmaster reportedly also has vowed to refund its service charges.
"Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster for the Coldplay gigs at the SECC have been printed on incorrect stock, but we are confident that Ticketmaster will be able to replace all tickets for their customers in advance of the gigs in December," a representative for the tour promoters, D.F. Concerts, told the BBC. "However, it will be more difficult to replace tickets originally purchased through Ticketmaster and then sold on through the secondary ticket market. In this case, ticket holders should contact their point of purchase. We urge these secondary sources to look after their customers at this time."
Coldplay's world tour is in support of its fourth album, "Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends."
