CHICAGO, July 21 (UPI) -- Film actor and Illinois native Bill Murray is scheduled to jump out of a plane at next month's Chicago Air and Water Show, organizers said.

The "Saturday Night Live" alum and star of the movies "Ghostbusters," "Stripes," "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tenenbaums," is to tandem jump with the U.S. Army's Golden Knights onto North Avenue Beach Aug. 15, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday.

The stunt is part of the air show's 50th anniversary celebration, and was planned in an effort to spotlight the work the USO of Illinois does for U.S. troops at home and overseas.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are also to make an appearance and perform aerial acrobatics.

Florence Henderson, an Indiana-born actress best known for playing Carol Brady on the classic TV sit-com, "The Brady Bunch," is to kick of the festivities that day by belting out the national anthem.

Scheduled to perform with his Lt. Dan Band later in the afternoon is "CSI: New York" star, Illinois native and longtime U.S. troop supporter, Gary Sinise, the Sun-Times said.
