LOS ANGELES, July 18 (UPI) -- Steven Adler, a former drummer for the rock band Guns N' Roses, was arrested in Hollywood on drug charges and an outstanding warrant, police said.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the 43-year-old musician was arrested early Friday and held on charges of possessing narcotics, being under the influence and for an outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $45,000.
It was unclear what the warrant was for, the newspaper said.
The Times said Adler was arrested after police responded to a complaint that a man was allegedly refusing to leave a Canyon Drive residence and was creating a disturbance.
Adler reportedly has battled an addiction to drugs for years and is said to have been fired from Guns N' Roses in 1989 because of his substance abuse.
