LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is talking to Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio about co-starring in his war film, "Inglourious Basterds."

Variety.com said Tarantino met Pitt in France Tuesday and plans to talk to DiCaprio Thursday about headlining his latest big-screen outing.

Pitt had a supporting role in the 1993 movie, "True Romance," which Tony Scott helmed and Tarantino wrote, but neither Pitt nor DiCaprio has appeared in a film Tarantino directed.

Tarantino's latest film is to shoot this fall in Germany and France, which is where Pitt and his girlfriend, Angelina Jolie, have been living with their children, Variety.com noted.
