LOS ANGELES, July 14 (UPI) -- The team involved in Hollywood's hit 2003 comedy film, "School of Rock," reportedly is assembling for a sequel.

Variety.com said Paramount Pictures is developing "School of Rock 2: America Rocks," with Jack Black to reprise his role of Dewey Finn, Richard Linklater to again direct, Scott Rudin to return as producer and Mike White to write the screenplay.

In the first movie, Finn, masquerading as a substitute teacher, tutored his fifth-graders in rock 'n' roll.

The sequel would be about Finn leading a group of summer-school students on a cross-country field trip that teaches them the history of rock 'n' roll and helps them explore the roots of contemporary music, Variety.com said.
