PHILADELPHIA, July 14 (UPI) -- The Wentworth Gallery in Philadelphia has announced plans for an art exhibition of work by artist and rock icon Paul Stanley.

The KISS front man is to present his art work at special appearances July 25-26 at the King of Prussia Mall Wentworth Gallery.

The showings are free and open to the public.

"His artistic and visual input has been seen in his designs of KISS album covers, stages and apparel," the gallery noted in a news release announcing the exhibition. "A graduate art major of the prestigious High School of Music and Art in New York City, Stanley has returned to his passion for painting to share the deep emotions his art conveys. Stanley creates portraits and abstracts that are emotionally charged compositions. He aims to maximize the direct impact of his paintings through scale, texture, color and simplicity of images. Stanley has experienced tremendous success as a painter."
