Kidman, Urban on new baby: We're blessed

LOS ANGELES, July 10 (UPI) -- U.S.-born Australian actress Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban describe their newborn daughter as a "delight."

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was born in Nashville, Tenn., Monday.

"We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl," Kidman and Urban said in an exclusive statement to People magazine. "She's an absolute delight."

Kidman's father, Antony, said earlier this week that the baby's name was inspired by Australian arts patron Sunday Reed, People.com said.

The couple reportedly chose Sunday's middle name in honor of Urban's grandmother Rose.

"Nicole is euphoric," a friend told People.com. "She's wanted this for so long."
