ROME, July 4 (UPI) -- A new exhibition to open this fall at Rome's Chiostro del Bramante is being touted as the first entirely devoted to the ancient Roman leader Julius Caesar.

ANSA said the show is the first to focus solely on the life and achievements of the famous assassinated political and military leader. About 180 archaeological, artistic and cultural items will be on display.

In addition to including actual artifacts that date back to Caesar's time in the first century B.C., the exhibition will also explore how Caesar has been depicted throughout the centuries in painting, sculpture and cinema.

The show is to open Oct. 24 and is scheduled to run through April 5, 2009, ANSA said.
