LOS ANGELES, July 2 (UPI) -- The home shopping television network QVC is planning to sell a version of the black tote bag character Brenda carries on the U.S. drama series "The Closer."

The TNT show, starring Kyra Sedgwick as the titular Los Angeles Police Department investigator/interrogator Brenda, is set to begin its fourth season July 14.

A version of her character's trademark black bag will be unveiled on www.QVC.com Tuesday and is set to go on sale July 21 for about $59 during QVC's Fall Fashion Designer Gallery broadcast.

"Brenda has become an icon to her diehard fans," Tricia Melton, senior vice president of marketing for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement. "They've asked for a chance to buy a copy of her bag, and we listened. We are thrilled to have developed a relationship with QVC to allow fans of 'The Closer' to have a piece of the show they love."
