NEW YORK, July 1 (UPI) -- Madonna's representative has denied reports the U.S. pop star plans to divorce her British filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie.

Madonna and Ritchie have been married for seven years and raise three children together.

Several media outlets claimed last week that both recently consulted London divorce attorneys.

Usmagazine.com also alleged that married New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez has been seen going in and out of Madonna's apartment in the evening, while the pop star was spotted taking in a recent Yankees game and sitting in Rodriguez's reserved seats.

"Madonna's husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving)," Madonna's spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg told People magazine Tuesday. "There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce. ... Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There's really not anything to comment on beyond that. It's nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna's way lately -- much of it untrue."
