FRESNO, Calif., June 29 (UPI) -- Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Chris Kattan reportedly has married model Sunshine Tutt in Yosemite Valley, Calif.
People magazine said the comedian, who earned notoriety on the NBC series for characters such as Mr. Peepers and Mango, married the 31-year-old model Saturday after proposing to her on Christmas 2006.
The 37-year-old actor, who also has appeared in films such as "Undercover Brother" and "Corky Romano," previously told People he anguished over how to propose to Tutt.
"Originally I was going to do something very special," he said. "I tried to get Bono of U2 to serenade her. That didn't happen. Then I asked Justin Timberlake. No answer. After hundreds of phone calls and text messages, I finally ended up asking one of the members of the Hanson group. He didn't want to get involved."
The comedian settled for placing the engagement ring in a cheap box and presenting it to Tutt while visiting her grandparents in Gainsville, Texas.
People said Kattan just completed work on the upcoming comedy "Hollywood and Wine."
