New York film premiere: "American Gangster"

GLASTONBURY, England, June 27 (UPI) -- U.S. hip-hop artist Jay-Z said he is happy to perform in Glastonbury, even though some have criticized his booking at a festival known for its rock music.

"There's only two types of music," The Daily Telegraph quoted Jay-Z as saying. "Good music and bad music."

Asked about the controversy surrounding his appearance, Jay-Z replied: "Ridiculous. We have to respect each other's music and move forward. The world has to change. I'm going to rock that festival."

Jay-Z is scheduled to perform Saturday. British soul singer Amy Winehouse and Neil Diamond are also slated to sing during the performing arts festival in England this weekend.
