Driver enjoys casual baby shower

MALIBU, Calif., June 22 (UPI) -- Pregnant actress Minnie Driver enjoyed a casual baby shower with nearly 40 guests Saturday in Malibu, Calif., a friend says.

The unidentified friend of "The Riches" star said the 38-year-old British-born actress enjoyed the laid-back mood of the affair and the Sweet Lady Jane berry cake that came with it, People magazine reported.

"Minnie loves the cake," the friend said.

Guests took time to hand-paint outfits for the mother-to-be to give her newborn, whose sex remains a mystery at Driver's request.

People magazine said Driver has not discussed who the father of her unborn child is, only saying she has no wedding plans in her foreseeable future.
