Shearer to get star on Walk of Fame

LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- U.S. comedian, actor and radio host Harry Shearer is to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, KCRW-FM, Los Angeles, announced Thursday.

Shearer is the host of the public radio station's "Le Show," and lends his voice talents to several characters on the animated TV series "The Simpsons." He has also appeared in the films "For Your Consideration" and "A Mighty Wind."

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Committee said Shearer is to be honored with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame next year.
