NEW YORK, June 18 (UPI) -- Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez performed at the graduation ceremony of a Staten Island, N.Y. school for autistic children.

Lopez went to P.S. 37 to sing "Let's Get Loud" for a group of eight 10- and 11-year-olds Tuesday, Newsday reported Wednesday.

Teacher Kathy Amati told the newspaper she had shown the students the video for "Loud" and they loved it, eventually learning the lyrics to the song, as well as the dance moves from the video.

The children were such big fans of the video, they wrote to Lopez to tell her so.

She responded by asking if she could attend their graduation, Newsday said.
