FULLERTON, Calif., June 15 (UPI) -- Shante Broadus, the wife of rapper Snoop Dogg, has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Fullerton, Calif., police said.

Broadus, 32, of Sherman Oaks was arrested by police early Saturday and was released after being issued a citation, TMZ.com reported. The celebrity wife and mother of three was not required to post bail for her release, TMZ.com said.

Fullerton Police Lt. Craig Brower said Broadus would appear in court next month, the Los Angeles Times reported. The officer could not comment on why Broadus was pulled over or whether other people were in the vehicle, the Times said.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr., is best known for such rap hits as "Gin and Juice" and "Doggy Dogg World."
