MOSCOW, June 13 (UPI) -- Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich paid Amy Winehouse $2 million to sing for about an hour at the opening of his girlfriend's Moscow art gallery, sources said.

A few hundred special guests were treated to Winehouse's set Thursday night at Daria Zhukova's Garage contemporary art gallery, RIA Novosti reported.

The gallery, which is located in a former bus shelter, is to open to the public later this year.

Although Winehouse frequently makes headlines for her erratic behavior, reported addiction to drugs and various legal battles, her intimate Moscow concert went off without a hitch, RIA Novosti said.

The BBC quoted her spokesman as thanking Zhukova "for inviting her to such a great night," stating Winehouse "thoroughly enjoyed herself."
