Bjork to headline green concert in Iceland

REYKJAVIK, Iceland, June 10 (UPI) -- Singer Bjork and the rock band Sigur Ros are to perform a free concert in Iceland to raise awareness about the environment, Icelandair announced Tuesday.

The June 28 concert in Laugardalur, Iceland, will also feature a performance by Olof Arnalds.

The venue opens at 5 p.m. the day of the concert and performances are to begin at 7 p.m. More details are expected to be released shortly.

Bjork and Sigur Ros are also teaming to create an Iceland-centric environmental Web site, with hopes of moving Iceland to the forefront of conservation initiatives, Icelandair said.
